Our Story
Isinmi began during the pandemic, at a time when the world felt heavy and uncertain. When everything felt loud, candle making became a quiet escape. A small ritual that made difficult days feel more bearable.
Over time, that ritual turned into a conviction. A way of choosing calm. A way of slowing down, even when life kept pulling in every direction.
Isinmi means rest in Yoruba.
We started with candles. We've grown into something wider. Things you live with, gifts you give, and experiences that bring you back to what rest feels like.
Rest isn't a luxury. It never was. But for a long time, many of us were taught to treat it as such, like something to earn, something to justify.
We’re here to undo that.
